Consulting & Collaboration

Sometimes all you need is support.

Maybe you have a big decision to make. Or a complex project to complete. Or you’re staring at a mountain of information that hasn’t quite come into focus yet.

Maybe you just need a sounding board. A second set of eyes. An outside perspective that can help clarify what to do and how to do it.

Throughout my career in newsrooms, I’ve worked alongside academics, policy experts, and communications professionals. I’ve designed curriculums and taught courses in data and journalism at Mount Royal University. I’ve built some projects from the ground up and helped put the finishing touches on others.

Because my background spans data analysis, storytelling, and public communication, I’m often most useful at the seams, where disciplines overlap. Depending on your needs, I can act as:

  • A strategic advisor to help you think through a problem or decision

  • A project-based consultant embedded with your team

  • A facilitator for workshops or training sessions

  • A long-term partner providing flexible, ongoing support

This kind of work might involve pressure-testing ideas, identifying blind spots, or translating between technical experts and non-expert stakeholders. It might mean rolling up my sleeves and contributing directly to your project or stepping back and helping you see the bigger picture.

If you’re looking for thoughtful, experienced support along these lines, let’s talk about how we might work together.
